Learn how to dye an old or boring t-shirt with our step by step tutorials. You can use different techniques of dying and also fabric paint of a more natural way as food coloring. Let’s start with heart design. Firstly, lay your t-shirt on a table and fold it in half lengthwise. Draw half of a heart using a marker. Fold the t-shirt along heart outline, watch the tutorial in or video. Secure with a rubber band and take a second rubber band and apply above the first one. Spray a t-shirt with water and apply red or pink dye onto the center of the heart. Cover the rest of the t-shirt with any color you like.
The next technique is ice dye. It’s a very simple way to make a beautiful print. Take a white t-shirt and soak in water. After that place it in the colander and cover with ice cubes. Cover the ice cubes with different colors. Wait a bit and dry. Ready!
Let’s make a spiral print! Place your t-shirt on a flat surface and pinch fabric at the center and twist to make a spiral shape. You can use a fork to get the spiral; shape. Bind spiral with 3 rubbers as we show in our tutorial. Your t-shirt will be divided into 6 parts like a cake. Cover the t-shirt with bleach and wait a bit. Next, cover every part of with different color and dry. Remove rubber bands. Ready!
