StoryLine : Once there lived a king who loved his mother very much. But the mother of the king died which leaves the King miserable for years. When it was finally time to leave his sorrow behind, a few priests approached the King and suggested the king to donate “Golden Mangoes” knowing the mother of the king died wanting them. The Poor king decided to do as the priests said, so that his mother’s soul would rest in peace. Tenali Ramakrishna, decided to teach the priests a lesson. Tenali asks the priests, since donating golden mangoes helped king’s mothers soul to rest in peace. My mother always wanted me to hit her on her head with a hot iron rod. So please let me hit on your heads with the steaming hot iron rod to help my mother’s soul rest in peace. Priests were terrified listening to Tenali and begged for forgiveness. Tenali demanded them to return the golden mangoes to the king and asked for his forgiveness.

Moral Of the Story : “Greed is the root cause for all sorrows"
