Undercover video shows apparent abuse of cows at Pa. dairy farm An animal advocacy group secretly filmed video of apparent abuse of animals at a Franklin County dairy farm, capturing images that prompted the farm owners to fire the workers they say were involved. The advocacy group Compassion Over Killing had someone working undercover at the farm for a month and a half with a hidden camera. The farm, owned by the Martin family, contracts to provide milk to Nestle in Maryland.
It issued a statement Wednesday saying it was “appalled” by the behavior shown in the video, and that the workers involved had been fired.
The animal advocacy organization is a national nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. that claims to be “working to end animal abuse" by exposing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting vegan eating, according to its website. (Video provided by Compassion Over Killing/edited by PennLive)
