FASTER HANDLE❗️TENNIS BALL SKILL WORK

FASTER HANDLE❗️TENNIS BALL SKILL WORK Having the ability to keep your dribble while using your off hand/experiencing a disruption is a major key to becoming a great ball handler. In this video the goal is to toss the tennis ball in the air and split thru the legs twice before the tennis ball hits the ground. It’s best to catch the tennis ball with your hand facing downward because that would be the way you would most likely protect against a defenders hand reaching in. -
When first starting out a common mistake is to toss the tennis ball too far away from your body. Try to toss it up ☝🏼more so than out. This is also going to challenge our ability to stay poised with a fast dribble while the ball is in the air. -
An easier way when first starting out is to toss the ball up, split thru, split thru, let it bounce and then catch it out of the air off that single bounce. -
Give it a try!
