Today, we're taking a look at the Progressive Dynamics 4000 series Inteli-power converter. This power converter is designed to deliver DC power to and charges batteries for recreational vehicle 12 volt lighting and appliance circuits. It does feature a built-in charging wizard. It's a four stage charging system which is designed to constantly monitor your battery. So, it automatically adjusts your converter output voltage based on the batteries charge status. The converter charger is capable of charging multiple batteries at the same time. It can also charge different capacity batteries at one time. It's got a pushed open door right here.
Now, the AC DC distribution panel is constructed of impact resistant, high temperature polymers. It has built-in features to ensure longterm reliability so you have the electronic current limiting which automatically reduces output voltage to prevent overheating, reverse battery protection which prevents battery charger damage if connections are accidentally reversed. It also feature the high voltage and low voltage protections to prevent damage from AC input voltage fluctuations, automatic thermal protection which protects from damage due to excessive heat, variable speed intelligent cooling fan which is actually located just in this area here. It only operates under high conditions, and then it has the GFCI protection which helps prevent ground fall interruption. The unit is prewired for installation. It's UL listed.
When it comes to the dimensions, edge to edge, that measures 12 and one quarter inches long by eight and three quarter inches tall. The depth measurement is taken from the back of that mounting lip to the back of the unit, and that is seven and one quarter inches deep. Your cut out needs to measure 10 and three quarter inches long by seven and one quarter inches tall, and then make sure you have plenty of space behind it as well. The unit itself only weighs about six to seven pounds. Input voltage is 105 to 130 volt AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. Output voltage is 13.6 volts DC.
Wattage is 1,000 watts. Power joule is 60 amps. Operating temperature anywhere from zero degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Storage temperature can go to negative 4 degrees Fahrenheit all the way to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. The distribution panel specs, so the AC, that rating is 120 volt AC at 30 amps. The breakers maximum 30 amp main up to 70 branch circuits, and then for the DC side of things, the fuse positions, that's two at 30 amps maximum each, 10 at 20 amp maximum each, and reverse polarity LED.So, I know that's a lot of specifications to think about, but ultimately what this is designed to do is it delivers DC power to and charges batteries for recreational vehicle 12 volt lighting and appliance applications or circuits.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Progressive Dynamic's 4000 series Inteli-power converter.
