There have been clashes outside a military base in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas. Authorities in the country claim to be dealing with what they say is an attempted coup, after the opposition leader Juan Guaidó announced he was in the 'final phase' of ending the rule of President Maduro. In January Mr Guaidó declared himself interim president and has since called for massive street protests to force Mr Maduro from office. Guillermo Olmo reports from Caracas for the BBC News at Ten, presented by Huw Edwards.
