Army Offers Legal Help To Retired Captain Who Was Declared Foreigner In Assam The Indian Army has offered legal help to the family of the retired junior commissioned officer Captain Mohammed Sana Ullah, who was declared a foreigner by the Tribunal in Assam and was sent to a detention camp in Goalpara.

As per media reports, Guwahati-based Defence PRO, Lt Col P Khongsai has mentioned that although the army would not be able to do anything directly in the legal battle but informed that some senior officials have met the family and assured all possible help.

It may be mentioned that 52-year-old Sana Ullah had retired as an Honorary Captain in August 2017. Post-retirement, he was appointed an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) in the border police unit.
