The American Heart Association is taking applications for it's Empowered to Serve Business Accelerator program. The idea is to connect with people who are committed to social projects that improve health outcomes particularly in underserved communities.

A former Baltimore Police officer has been convicted in the assault of man last year. The Judge convicted Arthur Williams of second-degree assault and misconduct and not guilty of the more serious charge of first-degree assault.
Williams' sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 9. He faces 10 years for the second-degree assault charge. The judge can give any penalty that's not cruel and unusual
The officer resigned after the video of the assault went viral.
