1. Take a Bigger Tent than you Need.
If there's two of you, get a three man tent, if there's five, get a six man tent! The extra space is important for storing your rucksacks, clothes, food, drink and this all takes up a full human worth of space. And you don't want to be the person who asks to use someone else's spare space - it's just rude!
2. Take Gaffer Tape
Gaffer tape will really save your back it will fix tent tears and rips, snapped tent poles, waterproof jackets - it’s a total life saver. You don’t even need to take a full roll, cut off some strips and wrap them around your water bottle, and if you don’t use it, you can always be the hero for someone else.
3. Take a Rubbish Phone.
Not only is this a good idea for obvious reasons like dropping it in the toilet, in the mud or in your drink but it means you can actually live in the moment for a change. What’s that even like?

You’re probably thinking that noises won’t affect you or you won’t be sober enough to hear things but - sounds at festivals can be truly astonishing, and we're not talking about the music! Ear plugs take up zero space, and can save you in more ways than one, so it’d be silly not too!
5.Hide Money.
Stash some emergency money in your phone case or in your battery compartment. It’s always going to come in handy in an emergency, or it’ll be a nice surprise on the Sunday for some extra pizza!
