The Sun is a great subject and supporting piece to photos. You have to be careful for the sake of your eyes and camera sensor, but there are a lot of great ways to use it in pictures to improve the look and overall interest. Starbursts with sharp rays of light with a small aperture are a great way, but you can use flare and other techniques as well to help give images some variation and pop. In this video I talk about a few techniques related to nature and landscape photography. This video includes images from a wide mixture of cameras and lenses. I display what aperture is used so you can get an idea of how that changes the look of the sun in photos.
