In this video, Dr. Berg talks about why Agave Nectar is bad even if it’s low in glycemic index. The problem with agave is it has 70% fructose.
• Fructose is 7x damaging than glucose.
• It can create a 100x oxidative stress to glucose.
• The cells of the body don’t absorb fructose, only the liver.
• HCFS is about 55 to 58% fructose
• HCFS can also cause insulin resistance and fatty liver
