MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) may enter the country Sunday night or Monday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. In an advisory, Pagasa said the LPA was located 1,205 kilometers east of Visayas outside the PAR as of 10:00 a.m Sunday, adding that the LPA may also develop into a tropical depression on or before Tuesday. If the LPA develops into a tropical depression, it will be named “Falcon” and would be the country’s 6th tropical cyclone this year. Pagasa added that Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will continue to experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and scattered thunderstorms. The state weather bureau also advised the public to continue monitoring weather updates. /je... source: www.inquirer.net
