Large tidal waves are the subject of this GameSmith’s video in our continuing series on water terrain. In episode 3, we created small and medium tidal waves for use with your tabletop game, but this episode will focus on very large tidal waves. Such waves could be used to show the effects of very stormy weather, the waves that result from some enormous underwater creature breaking the surface, or used as spells effects on dry land. However they are used adding large tidal waves can help set the tone for exciting action at your game table. This video focuses on building large sized tidal waves for your tabletop roleplay game such as Pathfinder or Dungeons and Dragons or wargames such as Warhammer 40k. This series is dedicated to exploring very simple techniques for simulating watery environments and terrain features with cheap and widely available materials. The techniques shown can easily be adapted to include other types of terrain aids or features such as walls of ice or fire.
