Microsoft Edge Web Browser on a Mac (also on Windows)

Microsoft's Chromium based Edge web browser has been in development for months. Now there is an official "beta". While it is available for Windows 7, 8 and 10, it is also available for macOS. I thought I would try the new browser and rather than follow the crowd, I tried it on a Mac!
