Recently a group of countries came together at the United Nations in Geneva to improve coordination and to share best practices for protecting families from products that pose fire, electrical, chemical or mechanical hazards. Richard O’Brien and Tilven Bernal from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) describe how product safety authorities from around the world are working together to prevent unsafe products from being made and distributed in international trade.
