Boris Johnson laid the path to a snap general election today as he warned Tory rebels there were “no circumstances” in which he would ask Brussels for a further Brexit delay.
In a speech outside Downing Street Mr Johnson said he did not want an election but categorically ruled out putting his name to another extension.
