IIT Bombay conducts hardware workshop on Teacher Training IIT Bombay on 21st September conducted the first of its kind in the world hardware workshop for more than 3500 College Teachers through 120+ Remote Centers spread across India including one in Myanmar using a free software named "eSim". The "eSim" is an electronic circuit Simulation, Design and modelling software developed by the FOSSEE project, under the aegis of PanditMadan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching, MHRD, Government of India.
Prof KannanMoudgalya, Principal Investigator TLC, Spoken Tutorial & FOSSEE inaugurated the program. Mr NK Mohapatra, CEO, Electronic Skills Sector Council of India was the guest of honour and Prof PramodMurali, the eSim course Instructor gave the introductory remarks.
The award winning Spoken Tutorial methodology was used to train the participants on eSim software. The workshop is first of its kind in the world as it caters our Nation's need by training the teachers on hardware technology, who in turn will train their students on hardware skills resulting in making them employment ready.
