Off strip, the award winning Las Vegas Ballpark opened this season in Downtown Summerlin, and there's more to that "Downtown" story. You might say there's been a number of name changes in the history of this part of the valley.
Henderson is the home to the new Raiders Headquarters, and nearby, a Smith's Grocery distribution center, Amazon's 2nd Las Vegas distribution center, and many others, including Hass Automation relocating from California to a 2.3 million square foot facility they plan to build. This all near the Henderson Executive airport, that has had it's share of investment. Redevelopment is in high gear in downtown Henderson with several projects going on, including a 2nd Vegas Golden Knights Hockey arena with two sheets of ice, restaurant and retail. Nearby, Google is coming to the area. Union Village, the world's first integrated healthcare village is continuing to grow.
Downtown Las Vegas has expansions in Symphony Park, including World Market Center's Expo, Mixed use Auric Symphony Park, and 2 new parking garages with retail and restaurant space. In the Fremont Street area, Downtown Grand adding a new hotel tower, and Fremont Street Experience upgrading the Viva Vision Canopy with nearly 50 million LEDs. Plus Circa Las Vegas, the 1st ground-up build of a new casino resort downtown in decades, paying tribute to the city's past, but with modern amenities.
But with so many projects it has also had an affect on the new home market. Watch and you'll understand why, plus I'll clear up a few Las Vegas myths and misconceptions, and talk a bit about the Las Vegas housing market from a professional Las Vegas real estate agent.
You'll get an inside look at what is happening in Las Vegas from Roberta LaRocca REALTOR® Broker Salesperson, NV Lic BS.507 with Simply Vegas Real Estate brokerage.
