Malaysia's UMNO and PAS to formalise intention to cooperate politically

The stage is set for two of Malaysia's biggest Malay-based parties to join forces. Opposition parties UMNO and PAS will sign a charter at a two-day "Unity Gathering" in Kuala Lumpur. Ibrahim Suffian, Programme Director at the Merdeka Centre, shared his insights on the pact.
