Rave: She Comes In Colours Crew: I do not know if it was a Rave crew per se. It's probably when I first met Matt and some of the other guys from Guerrilla System. I know it was part of the DCC Festival Week.

My Faded Memory:
For this Rave we traveled down to Dunedin. This one was a bit different in that it was held in the center of Dunedin city as part of the DCC Festival Week, a free public Rave that was attended by ravers and non ravers alike, most notable when the pubs closed and the patrons came and hung out to see what all the noise and lights was about (and probably have a chuckle at the weirdos).
I was able to go there early and photograph some of the crew setting up, some of who were also form Christchurch. There was some rain, but it didn't effect the Rave, the guys knew there was a chance of rain and were prepared.
This was the first time I photographed the set up in Black & White, I used a yellow filter on the camera lens (it increases contrast and brings out the blue which tends to fade out in B&W). This was great except I forgot about it when I switched to colour film so half the colour photos had a horrid yellow tint. It really pissed me off, I learnt from that, it never happened again. I've tried to colour correct the photos, but they still look pretty crappy.
When I look at these photos I see people I did not really know at the time, but later become friends with. Some 'til this day. It was probably when some first noticed the strange little fellow with a camera, I was a repeat offender by then.
