Typhoon Lingling progressing towards Korea - 11am JST Sept 6

Typhoon Lingling peaked overnight as a Category 4 super typhoon with estimated winds of 150mph, and is now on a weakening trend.
With conditions for the storm expected to become very unfavourable by tomorrow, the storm will likely lose this status soon.
However, Lingling is still likely to be a significant typhoon when it arrives in South Korea, where a large storm surge and heavy rainfall of up to 150mm are expected along western shores and inland to some extent. Tropical Storm force winds are likely in both Seoul and Pyongyang, with the storm expected to make landfall in western North Korea this weekend.
