Important Lesson In Finding Saltwater Fish, Multiple Species Caught While Wade Fishing

I caught Snook, Jack Crevalle, Gag Grouper, Redfish and Snapper while wade fishing along the mangroves. This kayak ( fishing adventure reminded me of a very important lesson on how to catch more saltwater fish.

I actually learned the truth that I share in this video last year when I fished an area several times after getting skunked on the first visit to the location. If I'd given up on the spot after getting skunked I would have never known that there were hundreds of fish to catch during the months that followed.

The mangrove island edge in this video was holding a lot of fish. If I'd left when the tide quit I might have never know that the major feeding period was on the incoming tide, not the outgoing. I was really discouraged after fishing for two hours and only getting a couple of bites. I'm glad that I stuck it out through the heat of the afternoon in this spot when the fish were not biting. Now I know that this is a good spot to wade fish.
