Sun Princess Cruise Ship Evacuated In Singapore For Fumigation After Gastro Outbreak All passengers of the Sun Princess cruise ship had to evacuate the ship in Singapore so it could be fumigated. There was an outbreak of the Gastro Intestinal virus onboard the ship and a number of passengers and crew became infected. The Sun Princess had just completed the first half of a 26 day trip from Perth Australia when it was evacuated and fumigated. A number of passengers disembarked the ship in Singapore and flew back to Australia rather than continue on with the sailing.
