UK Conservative Party accused of misleading public by altering Twitter account China's own diplomat has been summoned in Britain, after Simon Cheng, a former staff at the British consulate in Hong Kong, claimed that Chinese police had tortured him when he was detained on the mainland in August. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's ruling Conservative Party has come under fire for allegedly misleading the public during a televised election debate on Nov 19. The party had changed the name and branding of one of its Twitter accounts to appear like a fact-checking service, and used it to post anti-Labour messages.
