What would happen if we treated male masturbation the way some states treat abortion? Abortion has become a major issue in U.S. politics with states like Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, and Mississippi trying to adopt abortion laws which include abortion bans, heartbeat bills, and fetal heartbeat laws that would make abortion illegal. These states are attempting to overturn Roe v. Wade, which is a landmark decision of the U.S. Supreme Court that protects a women’s decision on whether or not to have an abortion. The Alabama abortion ban is slightly different than the Mississippi abortion ban, which in itself is different from the Missouri Abortion ban.
These abortion heartbeat bills are being passed in many states, and anti-abortion movements, also known as Pro-Life movements, have been battling those that are Pro-Choice in the debate over whether abortion should be legal at the federal and state levels.
Some states have adopted anti-abortion legislation, even in cases of rape or incest that go against women’s rights. Abortion law continues to be in the center of U.S. politics with women fighting to stop the overturning of laws that eliminate the woman’s right to choose.
