Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has opened the door to a possible approach from the Gunners should they consider him as their next manager. The Gunners sacked Unai Emery following the Europa League defeat to Frankfurt last month with Freddie Ljungberg taking over as interim coach. Ljungberg immediately indicated that he wanted the club to trust in him to take the role on a permanent basis, but he has gotten off to a poor start having drawn to Norwich followed by a defeat to Brighton last time out. Arsenal have now gone seven Premier League games without a win leading to fans demanding the club to make a decision soon on bringing in somebody new to try and turn things around. A number of names have been linked with the post such as Mikel Arteta, Massimiliano Allegri and Eddie Howe. There has been a clamour for the feel-good factor to return to the Emirates though and that has led to some wanting to see a club icon take the position at the helm with Vieira’s name mentioned.
