Was reading through some posts on social media and I noticed some that mention their new restrictive eating plan for the next 30, 60 or 90 days. Why does healthy eating have to be restrictive?
I was discussing with a friend, and the conclusion is ...As you love yourself more, your food choices change.
When you once loved ice cream, it may have been a comfort food, feeding an emotion or a void or some emptiness.
But when you earn to love yourself inside and out, the ice cream is no longer appealing as before. Ice cream (or any food you have labeled as ‘bad’) may feel disempowering.
You may still enjoy the ice cream every now and then, but it won't be the whole tub and you will probably be more selective about which you choose. You may find you just eat a 1/2 cup as that is enough to satisfy your taste buds now.
As you love yourself more, your food choices naturally become more healthy to you and for you. Self love is the answer to a healthier you...not a restrictive diet.
