Today we are discussing about the meaning of YOU DESERVE IT (as well as YOU DESERVE THAT) vs THAT’S WHAT YOU DESERVE (YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE).
“You deserve it” and “You deserve that” have positive meaning which mean that you have ability, quality or you have done something that should be rewarded something nice.

“That’s what you deserve” and “You get what you deserve” have negative meanings which mean that you have bad behavior, attitude and you have done something bad so you deserve bad result or consequent.

For examples:
You deserve a promotion.
He deserves more salary.
He deserves a repsect or an admiration.

He was bitten severely. That’s what he deserves.
He drives too fast, he got an accident. He gets what he deserve.
