Parts of CVG close for short time after suspicious package found

HEBRON, Ky. (WKRC) - Parts of the airport closed down for a short time Thursday while authorities investigated a suspicious package.


CVG said police came out to investigate after the package was found in the garage around 2 p.m. Terminal Drive and parts of the terminal were closed as a precaution.





Authorities determined there was no concern with the package and operations returned to normal around 3 p.m. There were no security concerns inside the airport during the incident.





CVG said they are expecting to have more than 200,000 passengers passing through the airport this week.
