Our Wilderness Camp is situated in the beautiful Chedington Forest which sits on the border of Somerset and Dorset.
Wilderness living encompasses a range of skills based on primitive ways of living which can help us to harness the benefits of nature wherever we are in the natural world.
Wilderness living techniques include recognising and gathering wild food and medicinal plants; tracking; using hand tools; building shelter; making fire and constructing materials like string and rope from natural produce.
Being able to use the surrounding materials to make yourself comfortable takes practice but it is all there, you must know where and how to gather natural materials to keep warm and dry and not go hungry.
The weekends instruction is Free all we ask is that you contribute to food or bring your own (groups, rations ect) and when you leave make a charitable donation for school improvements and donations to local charities.
