Karuma dam delayed again, Solicitor general rejects extra costs

Karuma dam, Uganda’s flagship power project will be delayed by yet another year as the contractor demands an additional 500 billion shillings.
Documents obtained by NBS critical to the contract between Uganda and the Chinese company constructing the dam, reveal a picture of unreadiness, unsubstantiated costs and defects at the dam.
