This advice wouldn't just be limited to Toyota of course, because pretty much every manufacturer does this to some extent. If you're wondering what a "Scotchloc" is (mentioned in the video), here's an Amazon affiliate link: I hate finding those things (Scotchloc's) because it usually means there's other bad, prior owner stuff going on in the electrical system. They are good in an emergency, but a poor substitute for properly running relays and auxillary fuse blocks and soldering connections.
