In this video, I want to talk to you about sea kelp. I’m going to cover the many health benefits of kelp that go beyond just the thyroid.

Sea kelp or seaweed is a super-concentrated source of iodine. It’s a plant-based source which your body can utilize very easily. You just need a little bit of it. I would recommend taking it in the morning because it can give you too much energy if you try to take it before bed.

I want to note that high-quality sea kelp that is grown in a clean ocean is very good for the thyroid. The thyroid needs iodine to make its hormones. But, the benefits of kelp go beyond the thyroid.

Kelp benefits:

1. Balanced estrogen
2. Enhanced IQ
3. It has ten times as much calcium than milk
4. It has a lot of nutrients like magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, vitamin C, and B vitamins
5. It contains fucoidan (has anti-cancer effects)
6. It contains vanadium (helps the blood sugars)
7. It contains amino acids
