IFPMA Future Health Technologies Video Series Familiarizing with future health technologies and their ethical implications
Interested to learn more about frontier technologies and their potential use in healthcare? We invite you to engage, explore and learn about disruptive technologies, their advanced healthcare applications and associated ethical aspects. The biopharmaceutical industry is experiencing intense changes with a number of frontier technologies impacting the way it does research, the way it commercializes its products and collaborates with partners and stakeholders across the world to save lives and improve access to patients. These video series are intended to provide a platform to explore the opportunities but also the challenges that these technologies are posing to the biopharmaceutical industry and the broader stakeholders’ environment, and to encourage reflection on their ethical implications.

Julien is a globally recognized expert focusing on the future of healthcare. He has a dual expertise in (1) advanced health technologies and frontier technologies; and (2) ethics, compliance, regulation and governance of these disruptive technologies. Fields also known as technoethics, bioethics and neuroethics. He holds a PhD in engineering specialized in exponential technologies (space, AI, blockchain, biotech, 3D printing, IoT, virtual reality and robotics), a JD in technology law and an MBA. He is a member of numerous global commissions and expert groups on governance and regulation of advanced technologies.
