Arifureta: From Commonplace to Mediocre

Deep in the heart of the isekai boom, shows have begun to emerge that seek to subvert the already cliche and cookie-cutter elements the genre pushes to the forefront. While Arifureta opens with a strong showing, and its aesthetic corroborates the ruse, the show conspicuously slips in to the same tired beats of its contemporaries.
