Venezuela’s government says it is dealing with an attempted coup by a group of soldiers.
The opposition leader Juan Guaido has appeared in a video surrounded by soldiers, standing near an air force base in Caracas.
Guaido says it is the final phase of his plan to oust president Nicolas Maduro from power.
Another opposition figure Leopoldo Lopez has been freed from house arrest and says the military freed him.
